What brings you in?

Tell us what brings you in, at the top of the page, and this changes to fit.

Who you will see

  • Jordan Lee

Books you in and sorts out the insurance

  • Dr. Hana Okafor

    Your exam and your plan

  • Priya Raman

Your cleaning, if you book one

  1. Hello and history

Fifteen minutes to talk about what you want, what worries you and what has been done before.

  2. A thorough look

An exam, with photos and x-rays as needed, and a cleaning with the hygienist if you book them together.

  3. A plan you understand

Options, timelines and costs explained in plain language. Nothing starts until you say so.

Direct billing to most insurance plans. Fees follow the Alberta Dental Fee Guide. The plan and its costs are written down before anything starts.

General dentistry for the whole family. When something goes wrong we keep same-day space for it, and the fees follow the Alberta Dental Fee Guide.

Two dentists, a hygienist and the person who answers the phone, who also sorts out your insurance. The team is a demonstration: these are fictional people.

  1. Dr. Hana Okafor by the consultation-room window, lilacs outside, smiling

    General dentist and founder

Started the clinic to practise slow, careful dentistry; likes explaining things with a mirror and a pencil sketch.

  2. Dr. Marc Deslauriers on a low stool beside the dental chair, leaning forward with a dry smile

    General dentist

Restorative work and crowns; patients mention his steady pace and dry humour.

  3. Priya Raman beside a fluted glass partition, one hand on the dental chair

    Registered dental hygienist

Gentle cleanings, honest gum-health talks and strong opinions about floss.

  4. Jordan Lee leaning on the oak reception desk, smiling

    Treatment coordinator

Insurance, scheduling and the person who answers the phone.

From the door opening at half past seven to the quiet at noon, in six photographs. Scroll through it.

  1. 7:30 am. The door opens. Jordan props it open for the first air of the day. Parking is right outside, and the way in is step-free.
  2. 7:45 am. Coffee in the corridor. The same four people you will see at every visit, before the first patient arrives.
  3. 8:00 am. A room with a window. Every treatment room looks out onto the aspens, with a chair beside it for whoever came with you.
  4. 10:30 am. A plan on paper. Options sketched and priced at the table, with time to ask questions. Nothing starts until you say so.
  5. 11:40 am. Seen the same morning. A chipped tooth at breakfast, a call at eight, and an x-ray and a simple fix before lunch.
  6. 12:15 pm. Quiet at noon. Heather chairs, lilacs on the desk and sun across the floor. Nobody here is in a hurry.

An imagined clinic: the rooms and people are generated demonstration photographs.

I had put off the dentist for six years. Nobody made me feel bad about it; they just made a plan.”
